Drawing from their wealth of culinary expertise, Mamas Dining Group has just unveiled their latest venture on Chapel Street, Windsor Wine Room. Departing from the Asian-inspired approach of their renowned restaurants like Hochi Mama, Straight Outta Saigon, and Kiss & Tell, this wine bar embraces a European-influenced dining experience.

Combining modern simplicity with timeless charm, the interior emanates warmth with mustard booth seating, shelves adorned with wine bottles, and ambient hanging lights casting a yellow glow which extends to the street-side dining. Striking the perfect balance between laid-back and refined, the bar is poised to become a quintessential staple for Chapel Street goers. 

Exemplifying the signature flair of the Mamas Dining Group, the menu overseen by acclaimed chef Michael Stolley showcases a curated selection of smaller and larger Euro-centric dishes, all plated with meticulous precision. The Italian, German and French Creole influences shine through in dishes like the burrata paired with a vodka-spiked sauce or the mussels escabeche with fennel aioli.

Larger dishes such as the cauliflower pie with French onion gravy and the Italian classic aglio e olio pasta are a nod to modernised classics. Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, side dishes like the savoy cabbage dressed in rich vincotto, river mint and walnut, elevate and hero humble vegetables.

Expertly curated to complement the food offerings, the knowledgeable waiters are adept at suggesting a selection of premium wine pairings and ready to recommend anything from a glass of the Antonio Soave Pinot Gris from Veneto in Italy to the Balgownie Estate Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley.
