The Verdict
This quirky café is one of Eltham’s best hidden secrets. It may look like an old run down house on the outside, but inside you’ll feel right at home. The Zen Den is a spacious café with an eclectic mix of furniture, funky décor and hanging plants. The outdoor area is a delightful oasis with plenty of palm trees and sun soaking spots.
This café offers a little bit of everything and even caters for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free diets. The Zen Den is always bustling with positive vibes and delicious, healthy meals. We couldn’t pass up on the scrumptious corn fritters with poached eggs, bacon and home-made chilli jam. But if you’re looking for a super healthy and delicious alternative the greenie bikini is the ultimate choice! There’s broccoli, shredded kale, avocado, poached egg, brown rice, asian herbs, chilli and orange vinaigrette.
Most importantly the Zen Den is the perfect place for your next doggie date. There’s even a delicious doggy’s breakfast on the menu for you to spoil your pooch!
