Infamous Psych-Rockers The Brian Jonestown Massacre To Tour Australia and NZ In 2026

Psychedelic legends The Brian Jonestown Massacre are heading back to Australia in March 2026.

Led by the mercurial Anton Newcombe, BJM have been bending minds since the early ‘90s with their hypnotic mix of garage rock, shoegaze and psychedelia. With over 20 albums under their belt and cult-status tracks like Anemone, Pish, and Straight Up and Down, they’ve built a reputation as one of the most prolific and unpredictable bands in the game.

From transcendent jam sessions to chaotic onstage drama, the road back to Australia and NZ has been one filled with hurdles. A 2023 brawl between band members on stage in Melbourne 2023 saw the rest of the tour cancelled. Check out cult doco Dig!, to see how the band has secured their place as one of music’s great counterculture acts.

This 2026 run promises a career-spanning setlist—new tracks, deep cuts and the favourites that made them icons. Expect a haze of guitars, plenty of energy and the kind of show you’ll talk about for months.

Here’s where to catch them:

Tuesday 17 March–Powerstation, Auckland
Thursday 19 March–Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Friday 20 March–King St Hotel, Newcastle
Saturday 21 March–The Tivoli, Brisbane
Sunday 22 March–The Gov, Adelaide
