Big, slapping news for Wellington fam… After taking Auckland and then Christchurch by storm, entertainment masters Funlab has announced that its biggest (and best) Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq AND Holey Moley will be opening right in the heart of Wellington. Yes and yes.
Two brand-new immersive fun zones will be packed into the same precinct on Willis Street (which formerly housed Taste on Willis) which will be a kid-friendly spot during the day and turns adults-only after dark with DJs to set the mood where kidults will get the chance to leave the shackles of adulting for another time and regress to the funfilled days of childhood with wilful abandon. Expect mind-blowing arcade games, crazy golf courses, and 8-lanes of bowling all jam-packed into one epic precinct.

At Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq you’ll want to take stock as you mull the dizzying array of options on offer. Imagine every game you ever played growing up, then make them 100 times better than you remember and you might come close to what you’ll experience here. Arcade games, 8-lane bowling, VR Rides and so much more will compete for your attention in the most overstimulating ways possible.
At Holey Moley, you’ll get two sets of 9-hole courses of mini-golf obstacles and traditional putt-putt with a twist where you’ll make your way through classics like Kong Live the King, Kid in a Candy Shop and Mini Mini golf. Wellington will also be home to a range of holes brand new to Aotearoa such as Skate or Golf, The Loop Hole and Triple Letter Fore, set on an extra large scrabble-inspired board.
You’ll be absolutely spoilt for choice by way of refuelling options too, pick up a gram-worthy cocktail or two—think bubble gum-flavoured liquors, decadent hard shakes and the Rub a Dub Tub cocktail which comes in an actual mini tub with floating rubber ducks. What’s more, the American diner will be slinging burgers, hotdogs, loaded fries and more to soak up all that good booze.
