If there's nothing you love more than a mouth-watering delicious burger, then you're in luck. Auckland is getting a food truck event that is entirely dedicated to them. Fresh from the grill and into your stomach, a collection of Auckland’s best food trucks are joining forces to create an unmissable event, Big Beautiful Burgers.
On Thursday, April 4, La Cigale will host the food trucks you know and love, each serving up glorious burgers—just make sure you’re prepared because things will get messy. Expect juice and cheese running down your hands as you devour burgers from Peaches Hot Chicken, Bacon Brother’s Food Truck, The Hungry Swine, Dixie BBQ and Double Dutch Fries. And, if you’re on a plant-based diet, you won’t miss out because Wise Boy Burgers will be there to meet your needs.
As well as these popular food trucks, newcomer Jo-Bros Burgers will be there. Set up by Josh Barlow (The Sugar Club) and Brody Jenkins, who met while working at top Auckland restaurant, The Grove, it's a must. The burgers are ‘well-executed classics’ using locally sourced ingredients and are sustainably produced. Inside the handmade artisan buns, you’ll find either a beef patty from the local butcher or, if you’re plant-based, a vegan patty. Paired with locally grown and spray-free lettuce and tomato, it's topped off with the Jo Bros’ original sauce, taking things to the next level.
More food trucks will be added as the event grows, so mark it in your calendar because you don’t want to miss out.
