If our stints in iso have taught us anything, it’s that it’s never too late to learn a skill—from the nervy challenge of doing something new for the first time to the smug yet rosy sense of achievement when you nail it just can’t be beat.

We also know that we practically become geniuses in our field when aided by a few cheeky libations so with all that in mind, premium gin purveyors Bombay Sapphire are heading up four awesome workshops that will allow you to stir your creativity from the comfort of your own home, cocktail in hand.

From 10 to 20 February, you’re invited to join The Creativity Lab 2021. To kick off the roster you’ll be able to blend your own scent guided by expert perfumologist Rosie Holt—and sample the results as you create your unique perfumed cocktail garnish. For an adult spin on those innocent jelly-making days of your youth, you’ll be guided by the Jellyologist herself, Jess Mentis on making a gin and jelly creation (hell yes), and a cocktail to match.

Perhaps you’ll want to develop your inner artist with a class led by none other than painting aficionados Paintvine—who know a hell of a lot about painting under the influence—where you’ll make your own bespoke edible paint cocktail. Rounding out the list you’ll get to create your very own clay polymer candlestick under the wise tutelage of artist and designer, Olivia Dobrowolski, by which you’ll be able to sip on your cocktail by candlelight.

You’ll even be able to extend the fun with two top Auckland bars joining the action. Inspired by the Perfume Playground sensory experience, the legends at Clipper have curated a flavour-blaster focused cocktail menu where you’ll get to select a cocktail based on scent.

Alternatively, head to Wynyard Pavilion’s pop up gin garden where, taking cues from the artistic collective Paintvine, each cocktail will use the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE edible paint for a twist on the classic.

So what are you waiting for? At just $40 for two people these tickets are sure to sell like hot cakes so round up the crew and prepare to stir up your next night in, and out.
