These Epic Sensory Coffee Workshops Will Stir Your Inner Barista

By Arnav Giri

Barista - Latte Art

We Kiwis absolutely love our coffee. In fact, NZ is one of the top coffee consumers globally. But how many of us actually know how to brew our own coffee, or master the art of the barista?

The De'Longhi Winter Workshops are your chance to level up your skill as a coffee connoisseur. Get around two sensory workshops to dive into what makes a damn good coffee. The first—Latte Art—with world-renowned coffee barista Sam Low is all about perfecting your latte with intricate and creative designs. Sam is a Latte finalist and national champion at the World Latte Art Championship and definitely knows his way around a cuppa, having brewed over a million cups of coffee in the last decade! The masterclass will not only be insightful but also incredibly fun.

You will learn how to steam milk and pour it to perfection in order to create your own masterpiece. Be ready to brew heaps of coffee and test your pouring skills.

For those a little more advanced in the coffee game, or looking to improve your knowledge about it, the ‘Coffee Lowdown’ in August is the perfect opportunity to deep dive into the various coffee flavour profiles, and find the right bean for you. Expert Sam Low will guide you through this journey.

If this all sounds like a bit of you, book your spot here to become your very own barista.
