Make Easter Magic With This Eggspresso Martini Recipe

Eggspresso Martini and mini chocolate eggs

As if Easter wasn’t already the best time of the year (there’s nothing not to love about four day long weekends coupled with glorious weather and copious amounts of chocolate), the Aviary over in Perth has gone and made it a whole load better! They've gifted us with their iconic (and surprisingly simple) Eggspresso Martini recipes so you can create them at home.

Gather your tools and get ready to give these Easter-iffic cocktail recipes a crack.

Ingredients

Classic Eggspresso Martini

  • Chocolate egg
  • 30ml vodka
  • 30ml Kahlua or coffee liqueur
  • 15ml vanilla syrup
  • 60ml instant espresso

Caramel Spiced Eggspresso Martini

  • Chocolate egg
  • 30ml spiced rum
  • 30ml Frangelico or hazelnut liqueur
  • 15ml caramel syrup
  • 60ml instant espresso

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Shaker or a clean medium sized jar (with a lid)
  • Ice cubes
  • Small strainer/sieve
  • Funnel (optional)

Method

  1. Pour all your liquid ingredients into your shaker/jar.
  2. Fill with ice, seal it up and shake for about 10 seconds.
  3. Using your sharp knife remove the top of the Easter egg, being careful not to crack it.
  4. Strain in your liquid using a combination of the strainer (to remove ice) and funnel (to reduce spillage).
  5. If you're feeling egg-stra throw in a waffle straw or a few Maltesers.
  6. Consume responsibly, obvs.
