A charming new addition has arrived to the Auckland foodie scene, say hello to Greenwoods Cafe and Eatery, the newcomer that you need to know about.

Found on the corner of Pah and Orakau Ave, there’s no missing the bright enticing front. From dynamic duo Charles Belcher and Raph Pepin of Corner Burger and Onehunga Cafe, comes a sweet newgem featuring a hop modern fit out. From custom-tiled floors to tabletops, to a hypnotic feature wall boasting “our hearts are restless” in neon, you can bet this will be a go-to spot for some of the cool cats in town.

“We didn’t want to open just another cafe,” says Charles. “Our aim is to provide a space for people to connect.”

A quick glance at the menu will have you salivating on the spot. Approachable and unique, there’s a little something for everyone, from masterful creations to kiwi classics done right. Composed with consideration to sustainability and healthy eating, you’ll find an even balance between ‘naughty’ and ‘nice’.

“Our menu will keep on moving and evolving,” says Charles. “To bring new experiences to diners.”

Our top pick is the fluffy spongey Japanese soufflé pancakes. Perhaps one of the most gorgeous stacks in town, we guarantee this masterpiece tastes as good as it looks. Served with fresh strawberry and rockmelon, topped with a creamy fromage blanch, sprinkled with crushed hazelnut proline and honey drizzle, this wonder is sure to have you coming back for round two.

No need to worry if you don’t have a sweet tooth, there’s even a savoury option! Just think, a stack of cloud-like pancakes, dished with pulled pork, slaw, topped with apple crisps, radish slices, sesame seeds and an out-of-this-world nam jim marmalade.

Every once and a while, we come across a dish that we just know is going to take over Instagram, and the avocado garden is one of those dishes. Just think, whipped feta, roasted beetroot, shredded carrot, pules and seeds all encased in a gorgeous avocado rose. Served alongside house-made cornbread, this stunner belongs in the Auckland Art Gallery.

You don’t want to miss the wicked choripan. Greenwood's twist on an Argentinian sánguce features the exclusively created Greenwoods chorizo, topped with fresh chimichurri tucked into a toasted baguette. YUM!

If you’re after something light, look no further than the breakfast salad. Poached egg, slow roast tomato, coconut bacon (yes, that's a thing), cheese and avocado on a bed of iceberg lettuce.

A little picky about your salad? Pay a visit to the front of house cabinet, which features a create-your-own salad bar with additional toppings at no additional cost. Ideal for those on the go, it’s an easy addition to the daily commute.

You didn’t think the amazing stopped there, did you? In addition to a cabinet of majority gluten-free slices, Greenwoods are serving top quality brews. Roasting supreme through and through, instant coffee lovers will be stoked with the bottomless coffee service.

Or opt for something a little different with the full range of Urban Blends on offer. From pink beetroot to matcha green tea latté, being on-trend never tasted so good.

In amongst good vibes, with masterpiece after masterpiece coming from the kitchen, and top-notch brews, it’s safe to say Greenwoods Cafe has stolen a little piece of our heart.
