October 2025

REDred 2025 by Geoff Ang

3 October to 12 November

Leica Camera is presenting REDred 2025, a new mixed-media exhibition by acclaimed commercial photographer Geoff Ang. Running from 3 October to 12 November at Leica Store South Beach Quarter, this immersive showcase celebrates the launch of Ang’s latest book, Inside the Mind of a Photographer.

Challenging traditional gallery norms, REDred 2025 invites visitors to touch, move, and reconfigure the art, turning every interaction into a creative act. The result? A living, evolving experience that blurs the line between artist and audience. The exhibition also pays tribute to Ang’s long-time partnership with Leica—its title a play on the brand’s signature red logo and Ang’s own surname, which means “red” in Hokkien. Expect reimagined works, tactile materials, and a sense of discovery that mirrors Ang’s signature mix of precision, emotion, and storytelling.

Admission is free, so stop by, get hands-on, and see what happens when photography steps off the wall and into motion.

19 October, 12pm–7pm

Image credit: Zouk Singapore | Supplied

Sundays just got a serious glow-up thanks to Zouk Singapore, which is reviving its iconic flea concept with Hungover, a reimagined day party, market, and festival all rolled into one. Running from noon to 7pm on 19 October, the event transforms Zouk’s legendary club spaces into a full-on cultural playground, blending food, music, lifestyle, and community into a Sunday ritual that works for all ages. Start with Zouk’s F&B lineup, featuring crowd favourites like Five Guys and Korio, then wander through the marketplace of local artisans, online personalities, and tastemakers offering everything from preloved fashion and vintage gems to curated lifestyle finds.

Families are welcome, with a Pet Zone serving pawrents and furry friends, while the Bro Zone (sponsored by Asahi Super Dry) offers a chilled-out retreat with comfy seating and cold drinks. Vintage lovers can sip coffee or matcha while hunting for collectibles in a retro-inspired corner, and the Hungover Flea Market on the mezzanine invites everyone to get hands-on with DIY bag charms, flash tattoos, caricatures, and more. The soundtrack is pure Zouk: house, amapiano, baile funk, and afro beats keep the vibes rolling while visitors shop, eat, or simply soak in the atmosphere. Free entry for all, food and drinks available onsite, and a perfect way to turn any Sunday afternoon into a full-blown festival of fun.

This year’s Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival takes on extra sparkle as Singapore celebrates its 60th birthday. From 7 September to 20 October, the precinct will be transformed into a radiant wonderland under the theme “60 Glorious Years: Celebrating Mid-Autumn in Singapore”. Each display tells a story, from nostalgic dragon playgrounds and watermelon slides to the timeless tale of Chang’e.

Beyond the glow, festival-goers can wander the bustling Chinatown Festive Fair (7 Sept – 6 Oct), catch the Lantern Design Competition (14 Sept), or join the Mass Lantern Walk (27 Sept), which ends in a lively night of performances. Other highlights include a tea appreciation gathering (20 Sept), lantern riddles (4 Oct) and even a commemorative layered stamp trail that doubles as a keepsake of the season. With its mix of heritage, nostalgia and luminous artistry, Chinatown’s Mid-Autumn Festival remains one of Singapore’s most magical celebrations of family, tradition and togetherness.

Venture down the rabbit hole as Base Entertainment Asia has announced the Asia Premiere of Cirque Alice. The epic new show, from the creators of Cirque Du Soleil’s Mad Apple and the Broadway smash hit The Illusionists, is set to transform Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands into a wonderland from 9 October.

Created by Tim Lawson and Simon Painter, Cirque Alice will reimagine Lewis Carroll’s classic adventure and bring to life everyone’s favourite characters with extraordinary acts from some of the greatest performers around the globe.

“The tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland provide the perfect backdrop to create a magical narrative about a cirque show. Filled with some of the most eccentric and larger-than-life characters and creations, the original stories have provided such amazing inspiration for this groundbreaking new production,” Painter said.

The show will feature a world-class lineup of acrobats, mesmerising aerialists, mind-bending contortionists, exquisite puppetry, talented dancers, special musical guests, comedic artists, and so much more.

11 October 2025

October means pink takes over the city once again. The Pink Ribbon Walk 2025 is back, rallying Singaporeans to step out in strength and solidarity for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Happening on Saturday, 11 October at OCBC Square, Kallang, this year’s edition carries the theme “Stronger Together with Every Step”, a reminder that every stride makes a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

The evening is designed as a full-on community festival with heart. Participants can pick between 3KM and 5KM scenic routes, winding past Singapore’s most iconic landmarks, before returning to a carnival-style line-up of entertainment. Expect live performances, glow-in-the-dark face painting, henna art, bra pong (yes, you read that right), and photo booths, plus a goodie bag stacked with treats. Best-dressed competitions are also on the cards, so whether you’re turning up in pink sequins, tutus, or coordinated squad outfits, don’t be shy.

Beyond the fun, the event champions a serious cause. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Singapore, accounting for nearly 30% of diagnoses, and early detection through self-checks and timely mammograms can be life-saving. By lacing up for the walk, you’ll be helping to raise both awareness and support for those on their breast cancer journey.

Registration is open until 10 September 2025, with tickets from $25–$40, and special rates for BCF members, PAssion Card holders, and groups of four. Presented by Income Insurance and backed by PAssion Card, this year’s walk promises an inspiring evening of purpose, unity, and community spirit.
