Dream Academy is crashing Singapore’s dinner theatre scene with The Divorce Party, a gloriously unhinged comedy-meets-dining experience held at The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. Instead of celebrating a wedding, this rowdy Choo Plastics family gathering is all about toasting a divorce, complete with scandalous secrets, chaotic relatives, and more piping-hot gossip than the group chat can handle. As the More Crazy Less Rich clan unravels right before your eyes, you’ll tuck into a three-course menu by Capitol Kempinski’s culinary team. Yes, drama is better served with extra food, extra tea, and now, an extended theatre run.
Local theatre legend Sebastian Tan leads the madness as matriarch Penelope ‘Penny’ Choo Kim Kim, backed by a riotous cast of bridesmaid rejects, eco-warrior siblings, shady ex-lovers, cosplay disasters and truth-seeking influencers, all ready to air decades of family tension in between courses. Directed by Selena Tan, this SG Culture Pass–eligible show is the first instalment of The CHOO CLANdestine Trilogy, with preview, off-peak and peak tickets now on sale via BookMyShow ($148–$198).
