It’s official, Asia is on top of the world’s cocktail game. At this year’s World’s 50 Best Bars awards held in Hong Kong, Bar Leone took home the ultimate crown, making history as the first-ever Asian bar to be named The World’s Best Bar. But closer to home, Singapore once again proved it’s got serious bartending chops, with Jigger & Pony coming in at No.9 and Nutmeg & Clove rounding out the list at No.50.
If you’ve ever sipped your way through Jigger & Pony’s iconic menu at Amara Hotel, you’ll know this spot is all about heart and hospitality (and the rest of the world clearly agrees). Partner and creative director Uno Jang also took home the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award, celebrating his impact on the region’s cocktail culture. Whether it’s a punchy Negroni or one of their nostalgic local twists, this bar continues to define what it means to drink well in the city-state.

Beyond our sunny shores, the list spotlighted cocktail capitals from 29 cities worldwide—from Athens to New York, Lima to Tokyo. Asia was buzzing this year, with Hong Kong’s Coa and Bangkok’s Bar Us both climbing the ranks, while Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame made its debut.
If you’re planning your next cocktail-fuelled adventure, this year’s lineup is basically your bucket list. But let’s be honest, with homegrown heroes like Jigger & Pony and Nutmeg & Clove right here, you don’t need to travel far to sip with the best in the world.
