Sydney’s Best Smoothies Are As Close To Erewhon Royalty As You’ll Get
While Sydney is certainly no stranger to a pimped up smoothie, the rise of Erewhon in LA seems to have pulled at the heartstrings of our FYP more than most. And while the comments may be full of non-believers and cynics (why are we paying $40 AUD for a smoothie again?), we know you've probably clicked the search bar more than once to check for any Sydneyside remakes.
In this case, curiousity is more likely to bankrupt than kill the cat—but we can't help but wonder if the recent pimped out drink trend has finally taken a step too far. Between loaded matchas, Biscoff on absolutely everything, and coffees that feel more dessert than daily ritual, the drink trend cycle is moving at breakneck speed. One fad fades, another froths up in its place.
Still, if 2026 is giving 2016 energy, maybe the Erewhon effect is less revolution, and more of a return to our roots. Smoothies have always been a hot commodity in Sydney's cafe culture —no longer in bowls, perhaps, but still very much in rotation.
Naturally, we did what any responsible publication would do: went out and tried a few for ourselves (purely for research, obviously). These are Urban List’s picks for Sydney’s best fancy smoothies—because we’ve got Erewhon at home.
Glory Days

Glory Days might be better known for its cult sanga status, but the smoothie lineup deserves its own moment. The AG1 Smoothie blends almond milk, banana, peanut butter, vanilla protein and dates into a thick, post-gym refuel, while the Peach Glow mixes coconut water, peach, strawberry and passionfruit with collagen, turmeric and coconut yoghurt for a tropical-meets-wellness hit.

- For the chocolate loyalists, Coco Butter goes all in with coconut milk, peanut butter, cacao, banana, chocolate and chia seeds—basically a dessert that can pass as breakfast.
Maker's Daily
33-39 Croydon Street, Cronulla Beach

If there's one thing Maker's Daily does well, it's putting their own spin on a popular food trend (and executing it with precision). So it's no surprise that alongside their raved about matcha, they are replicating some of the most sought after Erewhon flavours—including the fabled Haily Bieber smoothie.

- We'd be going for the iconic Glow Getter: strawberry, banana, date, coconut milk and collagen.
Noon
18 Raglan Street, Manly

If your smoothie order needs to double as actual breakfast, Noon has you sorted. The Breakfast Smoothie blends roasted coconut, date, banana, sea salt and almond butter into a creamy, lightly salted-sweet number that feels more substantial than your standard fruit blitz.
You can also add a double espresso for $2—because sometimes your smoothie needs to wake you up as much as it fills you up.

- Ask staff about the rotating monthly smoothie special—this is the real money shot.
Ruma
1/1 Kiaora Lane, Double Bay

Ruma leans fully into the supercharged smoothie era, with options like the Double Bay (vital green powder, mango, matcha, honey, mango coulis and chia seeds) and Ruma Has It (pineapple, orange juice, honey, blue spirulina yoghurt and strawberry coulis) bringing colour and crunch in equal measure.
After something more substantial? The Kiaora blends espresso, banana, cacao, dates, protein, coconut yoghurt and flax seeds for a morning pick-me-up that actually fills you up. The plant-based Bentley folds banana, dates and peanut butter through mango coulis, chia seeds and almond milk, while Berries goes big on mixed berries, dragon fruit, honey, chia seeds, mango coulis and collagen.

- You can also add protein, collagen or vital green to any blend—because if we’re doing fancy smoothies, we’re doing them properly.
