In the lead up to this year's event, these running-loving legends are hosting a 10-week program that’ll get you up and over Heartbreak Hill and onto the beach in no time.
The Lowdown
Kicking off on 26 May, this 10-week beginner-to-advanced-friendly City2Surf training program is all things prep minus the burnout and chaos. Providing you with the tools you need to get your legs and lungs in check, you’ll be hitting race day feeling fresh and pumped for the after-run celebrations.
And before you quit your 9-5 to become a full-time Ned Brockman, rest easy knowing the program is anything but a full-time job. Instead, think 1-2 weekly sessions, tailored run plans, and expert-level coaching that will slot into your everyday life without you even noticing.
Here to offer words of wisdom as you enter your running era, your in-person sessions will be led by the elite run coach Jace Brown, who knows exactly how to get you from 'I hope I survive' to 'I’m weirdly excited for Heartbreak Hill.'

Not only does the program give you expert-led tips and tricks on rest days, proper sleep, stretching, and good fuel, but it also gives you as many cold plunges and saunas as your heart and body require. And that’s on being a smart runner both on and off the pavement.
