Sydney, get excited. The Good Food & Wine Show is officially back and bringing all the eats we could ever desire with it. After a two year hiatus—for reasons we need not rehash—this year's event is set to be the best yet with the new Eat Local Pop Up supporting our neighbourhood faves.
Housed in the International Convention Centre, the pop-up will feature local Sydney restaurants serving up dishes from 24-26 June.
The best part? To show their support for the local hospo industry, The Good Food & Wine Show is providing each of the pop-up restaurants a fully-kitted kitchen, with all proceeds going directly back to each. Doesn't that hit you in the feels?!
Our recommendation? Feast your way through them all. Here's what you need to tick off.
Tapavino
Anyone who's been to the CBD's' Tapavino knows they have Spanish tapas nailed. Bringing some serious heat to the pop-up, they'll be serving up an unreal txistorra hot dog—a northern Spanish twist on a classic alongside their freshly shaved cabbage salad with Manchego cheese. Topped off with their decadent chocolate terrine, which is drizzled with olive oil and sea salt, you're in for an absolute treat.
Frank's Deli
With all the making of a New York deli, sans their Sydney postcode, Sammy Jakubiak's Frank's Deli brings a taste of the big apple to the show. First up, wrap your hands around Frank's Reuben—packed with LP's Brisket Pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, dill pickle, Frank's sauce and encased in soft rye, it's impossible to pass up. As for dessert, look no further than their dreamy basque burnt cheesecake (we seriously still dream about it). Plus their iconic breakfast sammy—starring egg and cheese folds with brisket pastrami and Frank's sauce on a milk bun—will also be making an appearance.
