What we would do to be smashing chunks of souvlaki, knocking back ouzo cocktails, and taking midday dips in the Aegean sea.

There are some holidays that are truly born better than others and your staple Greek Island hopping getaway is the best of the best. Now, a little slice of Santorini and the rest of the Greek archipelago are popping up in Sydney for not a one-day, nor two-day—but a full-blown three-day festival in the middle of the harbour.

Brought to you by the same bunch of legends who brought you Wine Island, Greek Island is a new festival set to transform Clark Island into a multi-day celebration of spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros, and fried calamari.

Taking place in March 2022, the Mediterranean vibes are set to start as soon as you land on the island with all kinds of Greek cuisine, imported wine, beer, spirits, and bespoke cocktail bars at your fingertips. Mount Olympus will be a dedicated shrine of Greek music and dancing, whereas Santorini Spa will feed you massage treatments and a whole lot of pampering.

Foodwise, you’ll get to work your way through a steady line-up of Greek tavernas including Peter Conistis (Alpha), Kazzi Beach Greek, East 33 oysters, Lambda, Lookoomania, and a whole lot more. Beverages have been curated by Drink Greek which means you’ll find a whole lot of premium Greek wines from regions like Attica, Acadia, and Macedonia, plus beers straight from Chios Island.

A must on the day is definitely Yia Yia’s Bar where you’ll get to sip concoctions like a ‘Santorini Sunset’ and a ‘Mykonos Mule’, as well as ouzo and tsipouro bars.

Packages to Greek Island start as $99 per person (plus $7.54 booking and processing fees) and go all the way up to $199 per person (plus $9.49 booking and processing fees), which include extras like complimentary wine tastings, sun lounge access, meal vouchers, and beach tote bags. For those that want to go all out, you can also opt-in for private waterfront cabanas which will set you back $3,300 (plus $69.96 booking and processing fees).

Greek Island and Frontier Member Pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday 22 November at 12pm AEDT. General public tickets go on sale Wednesday 24 November, 12pm AEDT.
