IMAX Sydney was relaunched in 2023, unveiling state-of-the-art 4K laser screening technology, four seating options, and elevated food and drink offerings in Darling Harbour.
The IMAX Sydney screen spans a whopping 692 square metres—making it one of the world’s largest—with a 1.43 aspect ratio and slightly curved surface that provides unparalleled visuals for movie buffs (or those just wanting to see Timothée Chalamet blown up as large as possible).

IMAX's advanced 4K laser projection system (which offers insane clarity and brightness) partnered with precision laser-aligned sound makes for a fully immersive cinema experience—and ensures there isn't a bad seat in the entire cinema.
On top of the sensory elements, there are four seating options: large standard seats, recliners in premium viewing locations, full recliner couples seats, and private boxes for up to four guests on an elevated platform, with food and beverage service of an exclusive menu direct to your seats.
