An Outdoor Beach Cinema Is Coming To Sydney This Summer

By Sammy Preston

The Mov'in Bed Beach Cinema in Barangaroo, Sydney

Not much beats watching big blockbuster movie hits on a cushioned bed under the stars in summer. Too good to be true? Enter Mov’In Bed, the world's biggest outdoor bed cinema.

After a few massive seasons in Sydney, the crew behind this much-loved open-air cinema is back. This time, however, in true Sydney fashion, they're moving the movies to the beach.

The first-of-its-kind Mov'in Bed Beach Cinema will transform Barangaroo's Harbour Park into a sandy city oasis, where 280 tonnes of white sand will be topped with a 5-metre 4K screen and 150 queen-size beds, pillows, and blankets, perfect for a night of cosy movie watching.

Screening at Mov'in Bed Beach Cinema this year will be recent and upcoming blockbusters like Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon, Ferrari with Adam Driver, and the Sydney Sweeney rom-com shot here in Sydney, Anyone But You.

The full program of food, drinks, and pre-show and intermission entertainment is yet to be revealed, but as with every Mov'in Bed experience, there'll be tableside service and special noise cancelleing headphones for the movie so you can enjoy a completely immersive audiovisual experience.
