This Outdoor Beach Cinema Is Returning To Sydney This Summer

By

Not much beats watching big blockbuster movie hits on a cushioned bed under the stars in summer. Too good to be true? Enter Mov’In Bed, the world's biggest outdoor bed cinema.

After a few massive seasons in Sydney, the crew behind this much-loved open-air cinema is back bringing the movies to the beach. The Mov'in Bed Beach Cinema will once again transform Barangaroo's Harbour Park into a sandy city oasis, where 280 tonnes of white sand will be topped with a five-metre, 4K screen and 150 queen-size beds, pillows, and blankets, perfect for a night of cosy movie watching through the special noise-cancelling headphones provided.

Recent and upcoming blockbusters like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, Todd Phillips’ The Joker: Folie à Deux will be screening this year, as well as timeless classics, family favourites, and themed nights in the mix.

As with every Mov'in Bed experience, there'll be tableside service and food stalls for movie munchies from pizzas to burgers, fresh coconuts, wines and cocktails—and popcorn, of course.

A VIP experience offers 30 VIP king beds complete with butler service, bottomless popcorn, and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine for each guest, plus food delivery straight to your bed featuring options from Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Menulog. For a more wallet-friendly option, 50 tickets to watch from picnic blankets on the sand are available for just $12 at each session.

Mov’In Bed Beach Cinema is guaranteed to be an unforgettable summer date night—see the full lineup and learn more on the website.
