Where To Buy A Real Christmas Tree In Sydney This Year

Something about Christmas presents hits differently when they're piled up under a real tree, and there are lots of sweet spots around Sydney where you can pick one up for major festive vibes—and some even raise money for charitable causes.

If you're pining for the scent of a proper Christmas tree (or ready to branch out for the first time) here's where to buy a real Christmas tree in Sydney.

Dural Christmas Trees

Dural

Dural Christmas Trees offers fresh-cut trees, Christmas tree delivery, and a netting service for easy transportation and set up.

The farm is open to the public to tag your own perfect tree (which you need to make a booking for), but you can also just turn up to purchase a tree, or wander through and snap the perfect Christmas pic—sans sweater and snow, but still... They're even staying open until 8pm on Thursday 12 December for late-night tree shopping.

If you can't make it out to the farm, you can also find Dural Christmas Trees' real Christmas trees of various sizes at Carriageworks Farmers Markets (Saturdays 30 November, 7 and 14 December), the Big White Top at Stocklands in Glendale (Saturdays 30 November, 7 and 14 December),

The best part of Pick A Tree is that they donate 100% of their profits to Sydney charities—they've contributed over $70,000 to Sydney-based charities since 2018. You can try your luck heading in on the day, but we strongly recommend pre-ordering so your Christmas decor plans aren't dashed.

Luddenham Christmas Tree Farm

Family-owned Luddenham Christmas Tree Farm will offer the opportunity to fill your home with the scent of pine this Christmas. Drom Sunday 1 December, you will be able to cut down your very own Christmas tree at the farm in Sydney's west.

The Christmas tree farm is also offering mini Christmas tree photo shoots from November 24, great for families and kids—or big kids at heart. They aren’t doing delivery this year, so it’s best to head in quickly to guarantee your perfect pick.

Merlino’s Christmas Trees

Wareemba 

Christmas trees arrive daily in  Sydney’s western suburbs from Merlino's family-owned farm in Ben Bullen, in NSW's Central West, with both cut and potted Monterey Pine, White Spruce, Blue Spruce, and Montrose Charm trees for your selection from the warehouse.

The extra good Christmas cheer comes from the donation that Merlino’s makes every year to the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation; over the past ten years they've contributed over $20,000. Merlino's Christmas Trees doesn't do pre-orders or bookings, so make sure you get in early to pick the perfect pine. If you're within 15 kilometres of Wareemba they'll deliver your tree, but you'll need to bring it home yourself if you're further away in Sydney.
