A wide shot from bird's eye view of a large crowd of people sitting outdoors at tables and walking around. People are chatting and socialising, the weather is nice and trees are around.

The Aussie sun has come out to play and Sydney is sweeping off some of our biggest city streets to bring colour, music, knick-knacks and alfresco dining to the social scene. The Sydney Streets events are one-day pop-ups during select Saturdays of November 2025 and March 2026, where local neighbourhood roads will be closed for driving and opened for heavy mingling, casual taste-testing, and plenty of vibrant entertainment.

With market stalls and street shops bursting with local businesses and goods, start prepping with friends, family and your favourite shopaholic by picking which of these events in Sydney/Eora most suited to your palate–all with free entry.

Macleay Street, Potts Point

Saturday 1 November, 2025

Two women performers are the main focus of the image, dressed in glittery purple and silver costumes and smiling. They are walking down a Sydney street smiling, with the day bright around them.

Potts Point is getting a major makeover from 11am ‘til 8pm to feature local business goods, neighbourhood musicians, dolled-up drag performers and even some dog agility entertainment (which might make the kids beg you that little more for a pet).

Mouth-watering eats are also guaranteed with plenty of food stalls and market sweet treats–we’ve also got a list of our best restaurants in Potts Point, for that extra bit of variety.

Glebe is known for its bustling community life and artsy atmosphere, with Saturdays already boasting their own Glebe markets (which are one of the best Sydney markets out there). Now Sydney Streets plans to up the level of weekend fun further by adding in some more market stalls to the mix, popping up some chairs for casual sun-soaking and coffee sipping, and even setting up a stage for local indie performances.
