If there’s one thing we’ve learned from paint and sip—it’s that fuelling our favourite creative pastimes with a drink (or three) is always a good idea. If you’re ready to expand your horizons in this regard, say hey to The Big Bake, Sydney’s brand new boozy baking school.

At The Big Bake, you’ll be treated to a glass of bubbles on arrival, before diving into a 90-minute baking class. Hosted by internationally renowned pastry chef Ridhi Rahman (whose chef pâtissier CV includes an impressive list of Parisian cafes), classes will cover the likes of salted caramel brownies and fancy cheesecakes, with the opp to step things up and try trickier recipes if you’re up for a challenge.

Inspired by smash hit cooking shows like Cake Wars, Masterchef, and Sugar Rush, The Big Bake’s classes have a competitive streak too. Following your baking sesh, cakes will be judged and a winner crowned.

And all your whisking, kneading, sifting, simmering, and stirring will be backgrounded by plenty of tasty cocktails, shaken up at The Big Bake’s onsite bar.

Tickets are just $50 per person. For more info and to book a class, jump over here.
