The Grounds By The Sea Returns With A Desert Oasis Style Pop Up

By Phoebe McRae
12th Oct 2016

The Grounds By The Sea is back and bringing the desert to Bondi for this year’s Sculpture by the Sea.

Inspired by America’s South West, the incredible minds behind The Grounds will create an Abode-styled hacienda and dry-climate vegetation display, heavily influenced by Arizonan design and architecture, like no other.

Repurposed from last year’s Hobbit inspired pop up, the eatery will be transformed into an Instagrammer’s paradise, with a colour palette of terracotta peach, coral and salmon, to complement the natural horizon hues of the iconic Bondi sunrise.

A textured floral rooftop, made of seaside daises that have been grown specifically for the pop up, will shoot colours of purple, orange and pinks, and an abundance of succulents, along with wrought iron chairs and tiled table tops, will make you feel like you live in a completely different city.

Expect breakfast bowls, seafood platters and The Grounds’ signature burgers, all with an Arizonian twist. Think lime, chilli and coconut.
