Embark On A Truffle-Filled Dining Adventure Around Sydney This Season

By Isabella Jeffrey

28th Aug 2023

Fans of the decadent truffle are in for a treat this winter as a dining adventure dedicated to the earthy and illustrious delicacy has drifted into Sydney restaurants.

Until August The Star Sydney’s signature restaurants —Sokyo, BLACK Bar and Grill, Flying Fish and Cucina Porto are offering their own unique menus and the opportunity to select and shave your own truffle. Take your pick from a selection of the Finest Australian Perigold Truffles and shave to your heart’s content. Can’t finish the whole truffle? No worries, what you don’t finish you can take home to enjoy a touch of luxury on your next meal.

From entree to dessert, head off on a delectable adventure through Sydney. Start with grilled Abrolhos Island scallops loaded with sharp Pyengana cheddar and black truffle bechamel from Flying Fish—shave some extra truffle on for a truly decadent affair.

Devour the Margaret River wagyu with truffle potato pavé, crispy kale, charred onion and truffle jus from BLACK Bar and Grill. Don’t forget to nab a gift box of chef selected delights to enjoy after.

Truffles have been savoured in Italian cuisine for decades. For those craving some Italian fare pop into Cucina Porto. Make sure to try the spaghetti with truffle carbonara, smoky guanciale and freshly shaved truffle. Pair it with their signature cocktail Gold Rush with truffle-infused bourbon, honey and lemon juice.

Experience where innovation meets tradition at Sokyo. The decadent Truffle Montblanc is the perfect end to an indulgent experience. Made with oh-so decadent chocolate brownie, chestnuts and truffle ice cream enjoy an earthy and unexpected twist for dessert.

Filled with plenty more mouth-watering menu offerings, make sure to book a table at Star Sydney’s signature restaurants before popping in so you can indulge in the complete experience.
