Something about Christmas presents hits differently when they're piled up under a real tree, and there are lots of sweet spots around Sydney where you can pick one up for major festive vibes—and some even raise money for charitable causes.

Dural Christmas Tree Farm

Dural Christmas Trees is Sydney's largest farm offering fresh-cut trees and Christmas tree delivery, and their family fun weekend is a fab excuse to get out of the CBD and occupy the kids this school holidays. Running from the Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 of December, you can get the annual Santa pic, chow down on a sausage sizzle, or take a peek at their decoration showroom.

The extra good Christmas cheer comes from the donation that Merlino’s makes every year to the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation; over the past ten years they've contributed over $20,000.
