The verdict
4 Ounces Burger Co has just opened a brand new burger joint in the Inner West and lovers of their delicious (seriously) menu should be damn pleased about it.
Half the fun here is choosing your burger, with names like the cheezy yeezy (two beef patties, with liquid cheese, deep-fried truffle mac ‘n’ cheese, pickled green tomato, and onion, all on a milk bun); and the birdman (southern-style fried chicken, American cheese, Westmont pickle, tomato, and house sauce, also sandwiched between a milk bun). If you’re up for the challenge, then order one of The Ol’ Dirty, which involves a glazed doughnut bun from Donut Papi.
If you’ve been wondering where this joint gets its name (of course you have been), it’s all because the beef patties are made from a four ounce ‘special blend’, sourced straight from hand-raised cows in Orange. The venue is sustainability-focused, so all of the other produce is sourced locally too—we’re talking about chicken from sustainable butcher Feather and Bone, plus milk buns from charity bakery, Bread and Butter Project—so you know everything is going to be fresh.
4 Ounces will open their doors on Sunday 10 December and yes, your body is ready.
