Arms Length

Operated by a team with experience from Rockpool, Monopole, Margaret and Ormeggio, Arms Lengths is a cafe, bar and late-night spot in the charming Kings Cross row of terrace houses that’s also home to Ezra, Bar Lucia and late-night icon Caffe Roma.

Things kick off from 8am daily with a brunch menu of favourites like brekkie buns, French toast with mascarpone and berry compote, and a roast chicken Caesar salad available until 2pm. As well as coffees and fresh orange juice, Arms Length does brunch cocktails, with a bottomless package serving 90 minutes of flowing Garibaldis, espresso martinis, Bloody Marys and mimosas for an incredible $29 every day of the week.

The evening menu covers snacks (oysters, anchovy brioche, chicken liver parfait etc.) as well as plates of rigatoni with beef ragu, casarecce with Skull Island prawns, steak frites, and tiramisu for dessert. Jaffles are also a staple and available from 8am until late (through to 2am on Fridays and Saturday), filled with ham and mozzarella, four cheeses, or beef brisket and caramelised onions.

A happy hour with $8 Four Pillars gin and tonics or wines, $12 spritzes and margaritas, and a jaffle paired with a house wine or beer for $15 runs between 4pm and 6pm daily. On Wednesdays, visit for steak frites with a a glass of house red or white wine or a beer for just $25—bookings essential.
