The Verdict

Picking up where the award-winning Woodland Kitchen left off, Henrys is Neutral Bay’s answer to the perfect date night.

Henrys follows in the footsteps of its older brother, Henrys Cronulla, with natural, modern interiors, fancy share plates and an insane rotating line-up of signature cocktails.

Born in Brazil to Japanese parents, head chef Allan Mikami’s menu is unmistakably Asian influenced with a spattering of drool-worthy, South American flair. That means you’re in for the likes of crispy flathead tacos packed with habanero mayo, yellowfin tuna sashimi and ponzu and cucumber remoulade and Alaskan king crab soldiers with foie gras and sorrel.

There’s also a wagyu beef tartare, chicken karaage with ginger, wakame and Japanese curry mayo, and a goats curd cheesecake with almond crumble and passionfruit sorbet for dessert.

And yes, you should absolutely hit up the house-made focaccia with kombu butter for good measure.

Henrys is also equally devoted to its signature cocktail list, which places seasonal ingredients front and centre.

Wines come in from all over the world, with biodynamic, organic and vegan varietals dominating the wine list.
