Cult-status bakery Lode Pies' second location can be found within the Sydney Place dining precinct in the heart of Circular Quay.
If you're not familiar with Lode, the cult Sydney bakery first set up shop in Surry Hills and is among a fresh class of bakeries led by hatted chefs; in this instance, Federico Zanellato and Lorenzo Librino of LuMi restaurant.
From their signature doughnut-shaped "Crown" croissant to the scalloped pithivier filled with free-range pork and shiitake mushrooms, Lode Pies set a new standard for baked goods in Sydney when it first opened back in 2021.
At Lode Pies' Circular Quay outpost, you can expect queues out the door for their coveted "Crown" croissants, the decadent blueberry tarts, or the perfect pain au chocolate laced with Callebaut dark Belgian chocolate.
Lode joins other exciting "seconds" in the Sydney Place precinct like a second Kosta's Takeaway and a second Sunday by Morgan McGlone. Sydney Place also includes the revamped Jacksons on George by Maurice Terzini.
