The brainchild of Sydney restaurant mogul and culinary superstar, Neil Perry, Margaret is the latest addition to the Double Bay dining scene. With sweeping views out over Guilfoyle Park, the eatery pays homage to its namesake, Perry’s mother, offering a mix of creative and exotic dishes that have diners raving. Inside, you’ll be greeted by gentle golden glow that sets the venue’s natural timbers and terracotta fittings alight. Pair that with towering double-storey glass windows, and you have a relaxed, yet sophisticated eatery that puts flavour at the forefront. 

As to the menu, Margaret makes the most of Double Bay’s harbourside locale, with countless dishes dedicated to showcasing the very best in Australian seafood. Come prepared for a bit of culinary exploration, and we guarantee you’ll walk away with a smile—and an extra few kilos or so. We’re talking spicy prawn, scallop and pork sausages, fried coral trout wings, and Korean-style rock flathead tartare. Our stomachs are rumbling just thinking about it…

Prepare to eat something a little more familiar? In a move slightly out of left field, Perry has populated his menu with a few friendlier dishes, including steak, focaccia, and a range of burgs.
