Situated on Newtown’s vegan mile, Mina Maria serves elevated, Euro-inspired dining while retaining the innovation of plant-based creations.

Owners Adam Papastathopoulos and Emma Langley (who transformed their former favourite restaurant I Should Be Souvlaki) have honoured their yia yia and great-aunt with a venue that builds on the legacy of their humble beginnings at Sydney’s vegan markets.

The entirely plant-based menu is packed with favourites like salt and pepper calamari, potato and leek croquettes, and popcorn cauliflower with chipotle mayo. Larger dishes include a souvlaki plate with two plant-based proteins and all the expected sides, a Caesar salad with plant-based egg, and a signature "beef" Wellington with peppercorn sauce.

On weekends, hours extend to include breakfast with croissant Benedicts with a vegan egg, bacon and hollandaise and cheesecake-stuffed French toast on the menu, and a happy hour with two-for-one cocktails is available between 5pm and 7pm every day they're open.
