If you’re looking to take in some of the most iconic views of the harbour and bridge, Sails on Lavender Bay is the place to do it.
The large glass windows of this waterfront restaurant look out to Luna Park, through the Harbour Bridge, and beyond to the white domes of the Opera House.
The venue has very recently had a makeover too—with Larissa Leigh Interiors giving the iconic spot a joyful French Riviera-inspired look. Painted ceilings, bright textiles, and new artwork now adorn the harbourfront dining room, making it one of Sydney's most beautiful restaurants.
To eat, Head Chef Saro Derderyan does modern Australian with a focus on top local produce and seafood (naturally). Try the silver trevally crudo or the Moreton Bay bug spaghettini complete with XO shellfish emulsion.
Sommelier Iain Wood's wine list focuses on aromatic and textural whites to complement the seafood, and a neat list of signature cocktails will set the mood for a long lunch by the harbour or a sunset cocktail before dinner by the water.
