Originally opened in Milan, RivaReno is a gelato store unlike any other in Sydney. They use all natural ingredients (no hydrogenated fats, preservatives, anti-oxidants and artificial colourings) and serve their gelato in traditional Italian pozzetti. The humble bagel is king at Brooklyn Hide, where owner Matthew Forsdike brings a taste of New York to the streets of Sydney. Operating out of their Surry Hills store, the team certainly know their way around a bagel, and are serving them up with gusto. Each bagel is named after an NYC precinct; such as the Midtown, which is packed with corned beef, Gruyère, sauerkraut and mustard mayonnaise. Paramount Coffee Project

Russell Beard of the famed Reuben Hills café in Surry Hills has joined forces with Melbourne's specialty roasters Seven Seeds to bring you the Paramount Coffee Project (PCP). The new coffee bar features regular presentations by international and local coffee producers, with a constant evolution in the coffee offerings being showcased. The food has an overarching American slant with specialties like waffles, hot dogs and fried chicken. In true Reuben Hills style, the interior is minimalist—no bells and whistles. This pared-back interior will help facilitate the sense of transience and constant evolution in line with each new coffee presentation.
