If it’s sweet and if it can be frozen, you can bet your bottom dollar someone out there is going to do so in the hope of yielding the ultimate summer treat, and that’s exactly what Thailand’s Buono has done with bubble tea—oh yeah, they’ve also taken it one step further by making it out of 100% plant-based ingredients.
First up is the Boru Boru vegan ice cream which is made up of Buono’s signature coconut base that’s then blended with brewed tea. You’ll find generous hits of chewy Boru Boru balls smattered throughout for that true bubble tea taste.
Scope out both flavours: Classic Thai Tea which references the refreshing breeze of the tropical seaside, and Genmaicha, a green tea and roasted rice combo which is designed to relax with its calming aromas.
Prefer it to go? Suss out the Mochi Ice, which is essentially vegan ice cream scoops in a perfect little pouch for you to snack away on at your leisure. There’s a stack of flavours to choose from, like the black sesame which gives a nod to the smoky flavours of Buono’s origins, a Japanese green tea and a classic strawberry to name a few.
Take a look at the whole range—and take a trip to Thailand for just a moment—here.
