It’s time to get down and dirty, because brat weekend is finally here. Okay, technically it's Laneway weekend, but really it’s Charli XCX’s world and we’re all just living it. We know Charli will be hungry for a feed after her set, so here’s all the brattiest food around Perth we’d recommend to her.
Oysters
Literally everywhere

Brat fuel. Oysters are the unofficial Brat Snack of Summer, and while there’s plenty of Perth restaurants and bars shucking and serving these beauties, our pick is Margot’s, where they dish them up for just $1.50 each, alongside a bottle of housemade hot sauce to bring some sweet heat. Plus, Margot’s is shaking up martinis that have us in an absolute chokehold.
Gibney Caesar
Gibney
There’s something intangibly brat about the Gibney caesar salad. Is it the ostentation tableside preparation, is it the caviar bumps on offer, is it the absolutely filthy martinis you can get alongside it, or is it simply the $48 price tag? We don’t know, but what we do know is that she’ll want to add a side of frites and tarragon mayo to the order.
Birria Short Rib Tacos
Pink Taco

Get a little messy with some cheesy, meaty birria tacos. It’s what Charli would want. We know our gal has a soft spot for Taco Bell, but these are tacos, and they’re the same, but there’s a dipping sauce, so they'e not. Dunk your taco into that hot, hot consomme, don’t be scared about a few spills, and wash the whole lot down with a seriously spicy marg. Perfection.
Fried Chicken
Urban Winery
Any brat knows the weekend starts on Thursday. Which means by Friday you’re looking for something deep fried and greasy. Enter Urban Winery’s Friday fried chicken and fizz combo, because dirty fried chicken washed down with a glass of champagne? Brat.
Club Sandwich
Samuels On Mill
Club girls want club sandwiches. Duh. At Samuels On Mill it's made with sandwich bread, bacon, egg, chicken, tomato, Swiss cheese, mayo and lettuce, and comes with a side of hand cut chips. Enough said.
Crimson Jade
Zypher Lounge

Is green, is brat. Zypher Lounge’s Crimson Jade cocktail is the perfect shade of brat green. Plus, we’ve heard kiwi is Charli’s favourite fruit, and this little number mixes it with lime and gin. Special mention to the spicy-sweet Flora & Fauna cocktail, made with wasabi infused gin, apple liquor, cucumber syrup and elderflower foam, which we just know would have Charli on the dancefloor til the early hours.
Apple and Jalapeno Slushy
La Condesa
The apple might not fall far from the tree, but we prefer our apple juiced and mixed with tequila. A little spicy, a little sour, a lot boozy, this one has brat written all over it.
Matcha Colada
Terrarium

From the ‘IDGAF’ face on the green Tiki mug to the green elixir on the inside, this refreshing summer cocktail is as blissful as it is brat. Made with St Remy Brandy, matcha liqueur, lime, Giffard Pineapple Liqueur and coconut, we just know Charli would knock back a Matcha Colada or two at this sky-high CBD cocktail bar.
Papi Slipper
Papi Katsu
Papi’s take on a classic Japanese slipper cocktail made with yellow chartreuse, this might just be the exact shade of brat green. Down a few before you hit up the Papi crew for their caviar bumps.
