Christmas In July Canberra

From Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 July, Australia's capital will be transformed into a magical winter wonderland complete with twinkling fairy lights, wooden chalets, giant Christmas trees and artificial snow flurries.

Food-wise, you'll find an awe-inspiring spread inspired by Europe's frosty winter favourites: think gooey French raclette, roasted chestnuts, German-style pretzels and bratwurst, and decadent French desserts. To wash it down, grab a hot-spiced mulled wine or head straight for a hot chocolate station, where you can keep it classic with Belgian chocolate or go all-in with the boozy version.

If souvenirs are more your style, wander through the curated artisan stalls touting artisan crafts, winter woolies, handmade ornaments, and festive treats.

Throughout the festival, catch roaming entertainers and live bands—the soundtrack to a traditional French-European winter. Plus, catch your favourite festive flicks by a toasty fire, where you can warm up, sip mulled wine and roast marshmallows under the stars.

Christmas In July Sydney

From Friday 11 to Saturday 20 July, the historic laneways of The Rocks will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with wooden chalets, fairy lights, and a forest of 40 real pine trees alongside Snow Lane. Rug up, grab a hot-spiced mulled wine, and stroll down the cobbled pathway with artificial snow falling as you take in the towering nutcrackers and light installations overhead.

Food-wise, you'll find an awe-inspiring spread inspired by Europe's frosty winter favourites: think gooey French raclette, gnocchi in creamy mushroom sauce, Austrian schnitzels, flaky French pastries and sugar-dusted waffles. To wash it down, head straight for a hot chocolate station, where you can keep it classic with Belgian chocolate or go all-in with the boozy version.

If souvenirs are more your style, wander through the curated artisan stalls—boasting snowglobes, handmade ceramics, perfumes, and cosy winter pieces. It’s the ideal way to spend a chilly winter evening, so dig out that woollen coat you never get to wear, rug up, and get in the Christmas spirit.

Throughout the festival, catch roaming entertainers and live bands—the soundtrack to a traditional French-European winter, while a festive twist on The Rocks Jazz Sessions will be taking the stage on Thursday nights. Plus, catch your favourite festive flicks by a toasty fire, where you can warm up, sip mulled wine and roast marshmallows under the stars.
