If gluten intolerance is something you’re well versed in—or maybe you’re keen to get GF-curious in 2022—you’ll be happy to know that going gluten-free isn’t all that difficult these days.
In fact, most cafes and restaurants can cater to GF diets and most major supermarkets have stepped up their wheat-free aisles as more and more people make the move to ditch gluten for good (a 2016 survey found that around 3 million Aussies are actively avoiding gluten).
What can be tricky, especially if you’re someone who experiences the adverse and painful experiences of consuming gluten, is cross-contamination and accidental gluten ingestion. From family dinners to weddings, work events, or catch-ups with mates, it’s a risk that exists whenever food preparation is not in your control. GF people know, gluten is everywhere—and in unexpected places too, like sauces, oat milk, sushi—the list goes on.
Now though, a new Australian-made supplement has popped up that aims to support the GF diet. Called GluteGuard, it’s not a cure-all that’ll allow GF intolerant folk to tuck into a plate of fresh pasta or down a frothy beer at the pub.
While it isn't a replacement for a gluten-free diet, made with "caricain", a potent and natural enzyme, GluteGuard can, however, help to break down traces of gluten before they interact with your small intestine and cause symptoms. Taken before that family dinner, wedding, or date night at your fave restaurant, GluteGuard can help protect against any symptoms of accidental gluten ingestion for those with gluten sensitivies.
This means, with GluteGuard, you can dine out, minus the stress and anxiety typically associated with tucking into a meal you can't be 100% sure of.
