It’s usually custom when it’s someone's birthday to buy them a present, but as Jetstar turns 17 today, they’re the ones doing the gift-giving, slinging $10,000 worth of flight vouchers at two of Australia's most iconic train stations.
Making the morning commute to work a whole lot more fun, from 6am on Tuesday 25 May, travellers will be able to “catch” Jetstar flight vouchers valued between $50 and $500 by scanning a QR code as planes fly across digital screens in Melbourne's Flinders Street station and Sydney's Central station. That’s right, all you have to do is scan and see how much dough can go towards your next vacay. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.
Those not located in Victoria or New South Wales, never fear, you can follow Jetstar Australia on Facebook or Instagram to join the birthday celebrations—with surprise vouchers (to the tune of $1700) dropping throughout the day. All you have to do is send a creative birthday message to Jetstar via the comments section.
Jetstar Chief Customer Officer Alan McIntyre says, “We're excited to be sharing our birthday celebrations with our customers at a time when demand for leisure travel is at the strongest it’s ever been. There’s no doubt there’ll be lots of keen travellers at Flinders Street and Central Stations to snap up these travel vouchers to put towards their next trip.”
