Lockdown may be over (touch wood) but the breadmaking antics continue which is why you need to know all about the bread maker shaking things up in home kitchens.
For the folk out there in need of some gluten-free baking hacks, this one's for you. Panasonic has just dropped an automatic bread maker (the Automatic Bread Maker SD-R253, to be exact), which let’s easily create a slew of baked goods sans gluten at home. We know, huge.
The Panasonic bread maker features a total of 31 automatic programs, so you can bake an array of breads including wholewheat, sourdough and brioche. Unsurprisingly, it’s a game changer for anyone who suffers from gluten intolerance or anyone who just wants to eat less gluten as it offers a bunch of programs to create gluten-free bread, cake, pizza dough and pasta – excluding allergens in the baking progress, without compromising on the taste.
There is also a new dedicated function for store-bought bread mix which requires nothing but water. We repeat—nothing but water. You can also use the ‘jam mode’ to create a treat from your favourite fruit.
The SD-R2530 even has a timer that can be set up to 13 hours in advance, so you have the option of adding the ingredients in the evening, setting a timer and waking up to a perfectly baked loaf of bread.
