If sipping seltzer on an island surrounded by penguins sounds like a dream to you, listen up. Recently launched local seltzer brand, Part Time Rangers, is making this dream a reality for one lucky Aussie.
The New-Zealand based, conscious alcohol brand was looking for a way to bring attention to the issue of wildlife conservation and shake up the existing pre-mixed drinks market. Their solution? To create an alcohol brand that not only tastes great and is low in sugar but also gives back to the environment.
Each of the brand's cans features a different animal from which Part Time Rangers has pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds. To help protect Australia's endangered penguins, the brand has launched a new flavour—Peach Penguin—a delicious combo of vodka, peach, and sparkling water. Proceeds from the sale of each can will go towards supporting Penguin Island in Western Australia. To celebrate the launch, Part Time Rangers and the Conservation Council of WA have teamed up to launch a first-of-its-kind scholarship for one lucky Aussie to join scientists in Western Australia as they help to protect the Little Penguin and ensure they remain for future generations.
A completely immersive conservation experience, the lucky sipper will enjoy the opportunity to travel to Penguin Island under the mentorship of leading conservation biologist, Dr Erin Clitheroe PhD, where they will help to monitor the Little Penguins and test new, lower temperature nest boxes.
Interested? Applications for the Part Time Ranger scholarship are open now and will run until Monday, 20 February. Visit the Part Time Rangers website here to enter.
