If you’re planning a trip to Bali in 2024, you need to add the youngest child from the Project: Black fam (the same group behind The Lawn, Times Beach Warung, Skool Kitchen and more) to your dining hit list.
Headed up by the group’s newly appointed Culinary Creative Director, Australian Chef Joel Bennetts (ex-PIER Restaurant, Three Blue Ducks and Fish Shop to name a few), Numero Quattro is bringing neighbourhood Italian dining to Canggu. With Bennetts' notable fine dining background and experience working with seafood, you can expect simple, elegant Italian dishes underpinned by expert technique.
Kickstart your grazing with tuna crudo, gnocco fritto and a dazzling burrata. Then delve into beautiful bowls of homemade pasta like oxtail lasagne, prawn spaghetti and maltagliati tossed in a rich, slow cooked sauce loaded with tender beef shin, pork neck and Italian sausage.
They’ve also got a solid grill line-up, from charcoal white fish washed with shio kombu and garlic butter to a barbecued half chook loaded with puttanesca and basil oil. Throw on a dreamy slab of tiramisu and something fun from the cocktail list before rolling yourself back to your accom.
Numero Quattro is the first venue Chef Bennett will sink his teeth into, but they’ll be rolling his 16-odd years of experience out across the group’s other spots too.
