Radiohead Are Teasing A 2027 Australian Tour, Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Something is brewing in Melbourne, and unless Radiohead have decided to launch an exceptionally niche scavenger hunt, the clues are pointing towards a long-awaited Australian tour in 2027.

Mysterious Radiohead flyers stamped with “2027” have begun appearing across the city, with reported sightings outside a Carlton cafe and at Champagne Video in Fitzroy North, Readings Carlton and Dutch Vinyl in Abbotsford.

The kicker? Each card carries a QR code leading directly to a Melbourne-specific sign-up page operated by W.A.S.T.E. Headquarters—Radiohead’s official fan, merchandise and ticketing network. In other words, this isn’t just a fan-made theory growing legs in the darkest corners of Reddit.

Everything We Know About Radiohead’s 2027 Australian Tour

Let’s start with the cold, hard facts: Radiohead haven’t officially announced any Australian shows. There are currently no dates, venues or ticket details, and Live Nation Australia isn’t listing any upcoming Radiohead events.

That said, the evidence is becoming rather difficult to ignore.

The first flyer was reportedly discovered in Melbourne on Monday 31 August, before more began surfacing around the city less than 24 hours later. One appeared above the Radiohead records at Readings Carlton (although staff reportedly knew nothing about its origins) while others were spotted at independent venues across Fitzroy North and Abbotsford.

There’s also an unverified report of another card appearing in Fremantle, potentially suggesting this tease extends beyond Melbourne. Nothing has been confirmed on that front yet, but naturally, Australian Radiohead fans are now watching every record store wall with extreme suspicion.

Why The Mysterious Radiohead Flyers Matter

This isn’t Radiohead’s first cryptic rodeo. Before announcing their first tour in seven years in 2025, the band scattered mysterious flyers throughout European cities including London, Madrid, Copenhagen and Berlin.

Those cards appeared before any official dates were revealed, using the same cryptic, Stanley Donwood-style visual language seen across the latest Melbourne campaign. So while the artwork might look like it was pulled from an earlier Radiohead era, that doesn’t necessarily mean the flyers themselves are old.

There’s also a near-identical trail unfolding in Japan. A Radiohead teaser screened at Summer Sonic in August ended with the words “Tokyo 2027”, while physical Tokyo flyers reportedly directed fans towards another W.A.S.T.E. page using the same “2027 plus city” structure now attached to Melbourne.

Coincidence? Possible. A highly coordinated international tour tease? Considerably more likely.

When Could Radiohead Tour Australia?

The band had already dropped a fairly sizeable breadcrumb earlier this year. In March, guitarist Ed O’Brien revealed plans for Radiohead to return to touring in 2027, potentially playing around 20 shows annually across a different continent or region each year.

Asia and Oceania were specifically mentioned among the regions under consideration, immediately placing Australia firmly within the realm of possibility.

Add that to the Tokyo campaign, Melbourne-specific W.A.S.T.E. page and flyers multiplying across the city, and a 2027 Australian leg is beginning to feel less like fan fiction.

Radiohead last toured Australia as a full band in 2012, performing arena shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. If the latest clues lead where we think they do, the band could finally return Down Under next year—ending a 15-year absence.
