This Australian Distillery Wants To Know How You’d Improve Its Gin

By

If you’ve ever wanted to host a gin-tasting night at home, we’ve found the perfect opportunity for you. Saint Juniper is a Sydney-based distillery that offers four craft gins—three of which have won multiple awards over the past year. Whether you’re a casual enjoyer, an aficionado, or someone who hasn’t explored the world of gin just yet, Saint Juniper’s Batch Test is a great option if you're looking to expand your palette.

Whether you enjoy a classic dry gin, the sweet vibrance of a pink gin or the more pronounced character of a Mediterranean blend. If you also happen to hold particularly strong opinions about gin, Saint Juniper has recently started a new initiative where you can help shape the flavour and future of the brand’s upcoming spirits.

Saint Juniper is crowd-sourcing ideas for how it can make its award-winning gins even better. To have your opinion heard, you'll need to order a Batch Test gin bundle from the Saint Juniper website. You can get three or four 500ml bottles of gin, including Saint Juniper’s Original Dry, Contemporary, Pink and/or Mediterranean (depending on the bundle you choose).

Once your bundle is delivered (for free, might we add), you’ll be able to taste-test your gins. There’s a QR code you’ll need to scan that has a guided tasting, so make sure you have your fanciest tumbler or gin balloon ready. Finally, you can give Saint Juniper your honest opinion by answering a few questions about each gin—which will also score you a $50 voucher to use on your next gin purchase from the distillery.

The four-bottle Batch Test bundle is currently on sale for $189, down from $236—while the three-bottle bundles are $159, down from $177 and $182. Every bundle includes Saint Juniper's Original Dry (valued at $59) and Orange and Elderberry Contemporary ($59) gins, while the three-bottle option will let you choose between the Mediterranean ($64) or Raspberry and Hibiscus Pink Gin ($59).

Whether you’re looking to share your opinion when it comes to spirits, expand your collection of Australian-made gin or just want to host a fun tasting session with your friends, this is a great way to get started.
