How To Rent The Famed Red House From Netflix’s Sex Education

By

a countryside home

While booking a getaway to a chalet is always a good idea, our thirst for rustic interiors and sprawling woodlands has truly peaked thanks to season four of Sex Education.

If you’ve managed to submerge yourself in the progressive British series which debuted on Netflix back in 2019 and shot to fame thanks to its diverse representation of characters and ability to sensitively tackle various issues like sexuality, identity, consent and family dynamics, you’ll be all too familiar with the house that Jean and Otis Milburn lived in.

Portrayed as a distinctive, somewhat quirky and eclectic home, the Milburn mansion is located in the countryside, bearing open spades, high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and large windows that overlook what seems like an endless span of trees. It’s really a work of art.

In Sex Education, the red house is filled with Jean’s substantial collection of books and artifacts, all related to to sexuality and relationships (all due to her profession as a sex therapist) but in real life, The Chalet is a cosy and colourful five-bedroom house perfect for any group of friends, families and pets too.

You can sleep up to 10 here and make the most of epic entertaining spaces which include large decks, a pizza oven, grassy knolls and of course, woodland.

Located in Symonds Yat, a village tucked into Herefordshire in England, The Chalet is also a prime base to explore Wye Valley, known for its river landscapes and limestone cliffs. You’ll also be privy to some pretty tasty surrounds including The Saracens Head Inn (do yourself a favour and go hard on the honey mustard roast ham) and the Royal Lodge Hotel.

Book your stay here.
