Round Up Your Noble Steed, You Can Now Stay At Shrek’s Swamp

Kick up your hooves and bunker down with a creamy parfait—you can officially stay in Shrek’s Swamp.

Turns out the fictional land of Duloc is nestled somewhere in the hills of the Scottish Highlands which is exactly where you’ll find Shrek’s muddy and moss-covered swamp sanctuary. If you ask us, it’s a lot nicer than we anticipated his forest fortress to be (cue rustic interiors and stunning landscaping).

You can thank Airbnb for the novelty, now veterans in opening its doors to culture-stopping properties like Barbie’s Malibu Dream House, Hobbiton and The Palais Garnier from Phantom of the Opera.

The swamp-scape rings pretty true to the Dreamworks flicks you know all too well, you’ll be able to soak up the ambience of ‘earwax candlelight’, swap stories around the fire until late at night and delve into swampy treats like Donkey’s parfait and freshly made waffles in the morning.

However the real mud in the water is that you can absolutely use Shrek’s iconic and trusty outhouse.
