Six60 Are Back In Peak Form With A Brand New Album And Two Instant Bangers

If you thought Six60 were chillin’, think again. The Kiwi reggae-pop band have today announced their fifth studio album, Right Here Right Now, landing Friday 13 February, and they’ve already dropped not one but two new singles to get you grooving, Knocking At Your Door and We Are All Kings.

From scrappy Dunedin flatmates to filling arenas across Aotearoa (and beyond), Six60 have carved out a sound that’s as communal as it is anthemic. This time around, they’re dialling things way back to the vibe that made them famous; raw energy, unfiltered feels and that live-room magic you remember from their early days.

What’s wild? The whole album was recorded live. Every track is a one-take wonder, meaning no heavy polish, no endless layering, just the band in the moment. It’s like bottling a gig and sending it straight to your ears.

The aesthetic here is all warmth, imperfection, open windows and road-trip soundtracks, and the kind of record that feels like a shared experience rather than a studio production.

The two singles out now give a snapshot of that vibe: rooted in connection, uplift and flat-out joy, they feel like a celebration from the first beat.

The album was recorded in just three days of old-school, full-band takes, which is a seriously unique approach in 2026.

Whether you’ve been there from day one or you’re just catching the wave, Six60’s Right Here Right Now is shaping up to be an experience in itself. You can pre-order the vinyl or pre-save it at the Six60 website here.
