Named after Chef Michael’s mother, Metita is hosting another very special Toana’i this Mother’s Day—their Toana’i, a Pacific Sunday feast of love and tradition. The menu is a nod to family, memory, and the flavours of home drawing from her profound influence on his upbringing and honouring her legacy with each dish. With bubbles or non-alcoholic on arrival, plus a three-course sharing menu—expect flavours like the signature corned beef steamed bun with lardo and soy, kingfish oka, slow braised lamb in spiced coconut gravy with ulu and sesame, and Pasifik koko to name a few things on the special Mother’s Day feast line-up.

Onslow are bringing back their special Mother’s Day menu this Sunday 10th May. With dishes like their iconic Chatham Islands crayfish rolls, baked Big Glory Bay salmon with crème fraîche and dill beurre blanc (along with the salmon trolley served tableside), and a decadent Southern Station wagyu eye fillet with truffled pommes purée—this is an absolute treat to mark the occasion. Don’t forget a selection of cakes and tarts by the slice, and ask for the gin trolley to have Mum’s fave martini shaken up (or stirred) tableside. Every mother booked in for lunch will receive a Sans Ceuticals Sleep Infusion Masque, for a little touch of luxury to take home for the evening.

Head to Trivet this Mother’s Day for the launch of Kai Moana Pasifika. Starting this Sunday 10th May, Kai Moana Pasifika is a vibrant buffet lunch experience inspired by the flavours of Aotearoa and the Pacific (and will be running every weekend until the end of June). Lebanese Grocer will be extending their hours with a series of intimate dining experiences, starting this Mother’s Day weekend with a Mother’s Day feast. Inspired by the food Chef Elie grew up with and his mum Yola’s recipes, with many dishes drawn directly from Yola’s kitchen (and an exciting taste from their cookbook currently in the works), they’re bringing a five-course Lebanese banquet (plus snacks) on Saturday 9th May for dinner and Sunday 10th May for lunch.
