Get Among This Celebration Of Country Music Hitting South Bank This Weekend

By Caitlin Booth

11th Sep 2022

Grab your best boots, bell bottoms and fringed jackets, because a massive celebration of country music is hitting South Bank this September. Tip your Acubra to the cream of the Aussie country crop, as the stacked lineup of this year’s BIGSOUND Country event takes over South Bank Piazza.

For two heaving twilight hours on Saturday, September 10, the event, hosted in partnership with QMusic, Brisbane Festival and South Bank Parklands, will pay tribute to the slick, sly, sombre and sweet tones of all things country.

Headlining the evening is the renowned, three-time platinum artist, Adam Brand, alongside #1 country duo The Wolfe Brothers and acclaimed alt-rocker, Shane Nicholson, playing with the support of the extensive BIGSOUND Country house band.

Melding the best of country and roots, the incomparable breakout artist, Loren Ryan, will be bringing her vibrant tones to the Piazza and rounding out the stacked lineup are Sara Storer and James Blundell, who are among the most awarded and respected of the country genre with multiple ARIAs and 30 Golden Guitar awards between them.

Whether you’re new to country music, or a bluegrass aficionado, this evening of story and song will pluck at your heartstrings and get your boot scooting along to live music played with soul. To nab yourself a ticket, and for all the information, head over here.
