Enchanted Gardens

Brisbane, we really have to give it to you. In this city just bursting at the seams with things to do, we've been given one more—and it's all your festive dreams come true. Behold, the Enchanted Garden is back for evening strolls through over 40,000 fairy lights.

From 4 December to 17 January as evening settles in, Roma Street Parklands' stunning gardens will come to life. The entire place will basically be looking it's festive best, with glowing gardens, delicately-lit weeping figs and a shimmering rainforest. This year's display will even involve shaning crystal curtains, neon butterflies and laser gardens along the dedicated light trail—sounds like a good time to us.

One of our favourite Brisbane Christmas traditions, the Enchanted Garden is perfect for a cute friend date, loved up stroll or even just a solo photo walk for all of the 'grams. Of course, this year is operating under a COVID Safe Event Plan, and to keep the crowds at a minimum, you'll have to register for a free ticket to one of the 45 minute sessions in advance. Take note, there won't be any tickets at the gate, so make sure you sign up early

Once you've gazed at all the lights, there will be a number food trucks ready and waiting to feed you on the Celebration Lawn. Or you could just bring a picnic—there's plenty of space on the grass.

Either way, it's bound to be a magical night out—just be sure to check the Visit Brisbane website for all the details and to pre-register before you start making plans to visit. Tickets for the sessions from 4–27 December are already fully booked, however tickets for the 30 December and January sessions will be available to book from 9am, Friday 11 December here, so be ready.
