An Alice In Wonderland-Inspired Pop-Up Bar Just Landed In South Bank

By Cara Welburn

If you’ve always dreamt of sipping tea with the Mad Hatter and playing croquet with flamingos, we have just the activity that will make your childhood fantasies become an (alternate) reality.

The Alice: An Immersive Cocktail Experience has recently opened its rabbit hole in the wonderland that is South Bank, and is inviting all those who are curious and curiouser to join them for a topsy-turvy (and boozy) evening like no other.

Concocted by the genius minds behind The Wizard’s Den, the Harry Potter-inspired bar that popped up earlier this year, this magical bar will have you stepping through the looking glass into the world of Alice in Wonderland, where you will find yourself sipping very grown up tea, painting roses red and devouring ‘eat me cake.’

Embrace both your child and adult self by solving riddles and puzzles, just like Alice, to unlock weird and wonderful ingredients for your bonkers cocktail creation. But make sure to steer clear of the Queen of Hearts and her tarts, if you want to keep your head...

Running Wednesday to Sunday each week until the 30 December, this is one tea party you do not want to miss. For $44pp, you’ll receive two bespoke cocktails, eat me cake and a guaranteed spot at the Hatter’s tea table. Limited tickets are available, so be quick to book in here. You’d be mad not to.
