Surfers Paradise will be transformed into a circus-themed outdoor gallery of colour, movement, music and huge artworks this weekend for this year’s Beyond The Sand Art Festival and you won’t want to miss it.
Previously known as Sand Safari, the festival is back for its 10th year and while it might’ve had a bit of a rebrand, you can still expect epic sand-based entertainment, like mammoth sand installations by multi-medium artist Amanda Parer and the entertaining-yet-somewhat-hectic Australian Sand Sculpting Championships (where sand sculptors from across the country arrive to compete over three adrenaline-pumping days).
Running from March 13 to 21, this year’s circus-themed event will also include plenty of circus performances and unique workshops on top of all the stunning installations. Iconic sculptor Dion Parker will also return to the sand this year, as one of the local artists showcasing a range of work at the festival’s Artist Gallery. Don’t miss it!
